I’ve been using tea tree oil for my acne for the last 3 days, and all of a sudden today, I have a painful, red, flaky area around the bottom of my lip. It’s not actually on my lip, but just on the skin underneath. I don’t know if it’s the tea tree oil irritating the area, or if it’s the beginnings of a cold sore.
