I have a cold sore on my lip, im using medication now. But how these things are created, weather? last year on same month I had one too…how is this possible……

2) Avoid peanuts . Yes, for me the argine in peanut butter can cause an eruption and there are many studies that say that an imbalance of amino acids can cause cold sore outbreaks. Try to avoid argine rich foods such as peanuts and chocolate.
3) Put tabasco sauce on the lip. Hmm, I don’t recommend this. I never tried it but don’t think burning the cold sore is a way to help it heal.
4) Eat yogurt and take acidopholous tablets. Yes, this sounds good and this builds the immune system and gives you good bacteria.
5) Use toothpaste on the lip cold sore and also apply listerine. In my research someone wrote they react negatively to sodium laurel sulfate which is in toothpaste so I am not sure this will be an effective treatment or if it can cause a reaction. In terms of using listerine, it depends on how your skin reacts to alcohol. Some of the listerines can be very strong. This needs more research.
6) Apply drying formulas from acne medications. No, an acne pimple is not the same as a cold sore which is a virus. If you dry your lips out the scab can open very easily as it tries to heal.
Try to study and evaluate each proposed suggestion and be sure you find others who have positive responses before trying an internet cold sore solution.

A cold sore or fever blister is painful and can occur on the lip, genital area or other places on the skin and the mucous membranes. They start often with a tingle feeling and then grow into a sore which may itch. Keep in mind that this can be contagious during an outbreak so use caution around others. If you take this to bulk up and tend towards cold sores, a lysine supplement can be helpful.
Sometimes before you get a cold you can get a cold sore because your body is not working optimally and you may not be sleeping enough. Be sure as well to always use sunblock on your lip when you are outdoors as I know I can get a fever blister on my lip if it is not protected due to UV lighting.
The application of ice as well as tea bags are two home remedies for cold sores that are advised to help to minimize the pain and inflammation. Tannic acid (in tea) has anti-viral properties and ice is always good to reduce inflammation. Neither of these are a cure but still can be an aid.
Most outbreaks of cold herpes sores are preceded by a sensation of burning, itching or tingling in the area prior to the blistering becoming visible. At times the cold sore will be dry and it forms a crust at the end stage. You are still contagious at this point however.
